It’s 1960s Baltimore and change is in the air! Loveable plus-size heroine, Tracy Turnblad, has a passion for dancing. When she wins a spot on "The Corny Collins Show," she’s transformed overnight from outsider to teen celebrity. Can she vanquish her nemesis, integrate the television show, and find true love without denting her ‘do? Don't miss Broadway’s musical-comedy phenomenon that inspired a major motion picture and won eight Tony Awards. “If life were everything it should be, it would be more like HAIRSPRAY. It’s irresistible!” – New York Times

(202 Seats)

NOTES FOR TEACHERS/PARENTS:

PG - Some mildly "adult" subject matter (teen pregnancy, etc), suggestive lyrics (a character describes how she competed in a beauty contest: "they padded their cups, but I screwed the judges"), a male actor plays the mother character.

Enter a magical world where critics are in awe and audiences are in heaven! Broadway’s new musical comedy swoops into town with tons of laughs and an armload of 2006 Tony Awards! It all begins when a die-hard musical fan dusts off his favorite cast album, a 1928 smash hit called "The Drowsy Chaperone." The show bursts to life, and we are instantly immersed in the glamorous, hilarious tale of a celebrity bride and her uproarious wedding day. "Irresistible! A witty, winning, refreshing cocktail of a show." Variety
(202 Seats)

NOTE FOR TEACHERS/PARENTS:
PG. Okay for most audiences, but some slightly mature humor (the leading character describes the 1920s play-within-the-play as being "about a gay wedding -- of course, that meant something different back then.")
