Some of her favorite work venue’s include Washington Opera, Sesame Street Live, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Alice Tully Hall, The Denver Center, Philadelphia Street Theater, Jacobs’ Pillow and Central City Opera. Matthew Rose: a man of many talents, from riveting audiences on stage in Daylight to Booneville, Deathtrap, and Into the Woods, to behind-the-scenes wizardry at Sierra Repertory Theatre. With a knack for bringing characters to life and a touch of humor, Matthew’s journey in theater is a delightful mix of passion and creativity. Whether wielding props or pulling strings, he’s a force to be reckoned with, both on and offstage.
Maggie Braun (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be back at her theatre home! SRT: Steel Magnolias, Murder on the Orient Express, Route 66, The Wizard of Oz, Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, and Million Dollar Quartet. With her associate degree in Theater from Modesto Junior College, she is proud to have her dream job here in Sonora. She would like to thank her family, best friends, and Connor for supporting her in her journey of chasing her dreams. “Look ma, I made it!”
Diana has been a costume Designer in Tuolumne County for many different theaters since 1976. This is her seventh year designing and stitching for SRT. She most recently designed Meet Me in St. Louis: A Live Radio Play, Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR, Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka KIDS, Peter Rabbit, Grease, The Wizard of Oz, Route 66, Holiday Jukebox, Intimate Apparel, Pageant, Million Dollar Quartet, The Glass Menagerie, A Christmas Story, A Columbia Christmas Carol, and Hank Williams: Lost Highway.
A life long artists who tries her best to make everything beautiful was drawn to work with SRT in order to connect with and serve community by using her gifts and talents. Accomplishing a sparkling, chilly North Pole for the Rudolph set, and then watching the children enjoy it was a truly satisfying experience. Something that the audience might not know is set painting takes multiple layers that can be changed multiple times before the final product is ready. Also, giving 100% to a painting project which is destined to be completely dismantled is a unique, thought provoking process for theater artists. Her hope is that every audience member thoroughly enjoys every detail of each performance!
Kaitlyn has always been interested in art, painting and overall creating. Her parents even recall me making colorful messes using whatever she could get my hands on. She was first drawn to scenic artistry and theater painting after seeing The Wizard of Oz and seeing the different set elements that were constructed, painted and used throughout the production. Seeing the wooden house, the trees and some of the hand painted props used inspired her to investigate how she could get a job doing exactly that. When it comes to creating large scale projects, she is especially proud of the volunteer work that I have been able to do for a local elementary school’s library Book Fair.
