PART-TIME COSTUME STITCHERS

A Part-Time position involving the implementation and construction of assorted styles and looks for theatrical costumes in a professional theatre.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Involved in daily Wardrobe Department creation of theatre costuming.
• Pattern garments construction/repair to character and show related costumes.
• Other duties as assigned by Costume Shop Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of all basic sewing tools and able to sew quickly with a modicum of artistry.
• Knowledge of sewing machinery and cutting tools.
• Sewing-related problem-solving skills
• Able to modify show costume designs as needed.
• Take directions from the shop manager.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Possess time-management skills to effectively handle multiple projects at once.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Maintain positive energy and enthusiasm while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Work well with others.
• Be safety conscious.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Eye/hand coordination; Manual dexterity; able to operate various sewing machinery.

Compensation: Minimum wage.
