Based on the classic 1991 Disney animated film, this theatrical telling celebrates the Academy Award-winning score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and is expanded with soaring new melodies that enchants audiences of all ages. With a book by Linda Woolverton, it’s everything to love about the film and more in a stage spectacular. The independent Belle, trapped in her provincial town, finds her life turned upside down when she takes her father’s place as a captive in an enchanted castle ruled by an angry Beast. With help from the enchanted creatures in the castle and her own kindheartedness, Belle finds the prince inside the Beast and works to break the curse on the mysterious castle and all of its inhabitants. A fantastically enjoyable adventure, this classic musical love story is filled with unforgettable characters and dazzling production numbers, including: “Be Our Guest” and the beloved title song.

DANIEL BARRINGTON RUBIO (Beast) is thrilled to be joining Sierra Rep for the first time. Daniel is a native of the Bay Area where he has played the Beast twice and is happy to be reprising the role. Recent credits: Next to Normal (Youth Musical Theatre Company); Sleeping Beauty , The Biggest Gift (Fantasy Forum Actors Ensemble); Noises Off! (Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre); Billy Elliot the Musical (Contra Costa Musical Theatre); Love's Labour's Lost (Marin Shakespeare Company). Other credits: Seussical the Musical (Bay Area Musicals); Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Broadway by the Bay and Mountain Play); Shrek the Musical (Woodminster Summer Musicals); Urinetown the Musical (Clayton Theatre Company). TY SMITH (Maurice) is an SRT company member and some of his 85 roles include Rumson in Paint Your Wagon, Governor/C.J. Scruggs in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Scrooge in A Christmas Carol and Lear in King Lear. A graduate of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s Professional Actor Training Program, Ty is a veteran of Off-Broadway, regional theaters and Shakespeare festivals across the country. He spent several summers with the Idaho Shakespeare Festival where his roles included Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night, Antonio in The Merchant of Venice, and Capulet in Romeo and Juliet.
BRITTANY LAW (Babette) is thrilled to make her Sierra Repertory Theatre debut! She most recently returned from a national tour with Bay Area Children’s Theatre. Favorite past credits include Elizabeth Bennet in the national premiere of Pride and Prejudice the Musical, Natalie in Next to Normal, Eponine in Les Misérables, and Hope Cladwell in Urinetown the Musical. When Brittany is not onstage she often enjoys writing. Her first original musical, The Farce Awakens, premiered last summer at Redwood Theatre Company. She sends love and thanks to her family and Zachary for their support. Brittany is a proud graduate of PCPA.
LUCAS MICHAEL CHANDLER (Ensemble) is thrilled to be performing for SRT as a Company Member. Lucas graduated from PCPA in the spring of 2015 and made his debut at Sierra Rep. In the spring of 2016 as Harry in My Fair Lady. Since then, Lucas has performed in State Fair, The Robber Bridegroom, Joseph…Dreamcoat, Man Of La Mancha, White Christmas, Mamma Mia!, and most recently, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He is thankful for Becky and Scott for allowing him to stay and learn all he can, thankful to all of the hosts that house for SRT and thankful to his family for all of their continuous love and support. KELLY ANN DUNN (Ensemble) is so excited to be making her debut at Sierra Repertory and to be working with such amazing artists. RAJAH FOERSTNER (Ensemble) is a high school student who last as Mortimer in Arsenic and Old Lace, at Murphy’s Creek Theatre. This is Rajah’s first time working at Sierra Rep and is thrilled for the opportunity. He plans to continue doing community local theatre through his senior year in high school before he relocates to LA for music, dance, and acting training. He would like to personally thank Lucas Chandler for always showing him the full rundown and Scott Viets and Dann Dunn for the amazing opportunity.
BROOKE QUINTANA* (Belle) has the happiest heart to be here at Sierra Rep this summer and coming “Home” to the role of Belle. She previously played Belle in the National Tour of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in 2015 and 2016. Brooke resides in New York City, but has found that California has won her heart this summer! Other credits include: Maria in West Side Story (Winner of NH Theatre Awards Best Actress in a Musical 2017) Eponine in Les Miserables and Diana Morales in A Chorus Line. HARVEY T. JORDAN (Cogsworth) has performed with numerous regional theatres around the country, including Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Minnesota Repertory Theatre, Drake Theatre Repertory, Capital Stage, Sacramento Theatre Company, Davis Shakespeare Ensemble, The Show Below, Highland Summer Theatre, Stage 3, and the American Blues Theatre Company. He also served as an Artist-in- Residence for the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts. Harvey has directed professional theatre productions in L.A., Chicago, and Northern California, and holds an M.F.A. in Acting from U.C. Davis.
DREW BOUDREAU (LeFou) is thrilled to be back at Sierra Rep after appearing in The Sound of Music and Oklahoma! Off-Broadway: Game of Thrones: The Musical. JACOB TANGENBERG (Chip) is filled to the brim with excitement to play Chip in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. He was last seen in SRT’s production of A Christmas Story, where he played Ralphie’s younger brother, Randy. He’s been in multiple SRT Jr. productions, including the production of Clowns this past April. Jacob would like to thank his family for all of their love, support, and encouragement.
SARAH SCHORI (Ensemble/Dance Captain) is so happy to be back in beautiful Sonora (for her 5th show here!) and to be a part of this wonderful team! Favorite roles include Kitty in The Drowsy Chaperone (SRT), Lily St Regis in Annie (TVRT) and Agnes in Gypsy (CCMT). Sarah has a BFA in dance from the University of Arizona. She is from the Bay Area but currently lives in NYC where she also works as a Pilates trainer.
QUINN FARLEY (Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of her first production at Sierra Rep! Based in LA, she was most recently seen as Wendla Bergman in Mysterium Theatre's production of Spring Awakening. With other former credits including Teen Fiona in Shrek the Musical, Daughter in Pirates of Penzance, and Ensemble in Cinderella all produced with PCPA-Pacific Conservatory Theatre. HENRY FLORES (Ensemble) is a Central Valley actor making his SRT debu. In May he will earn his BA in Theatre Arts from Stanislaus State University, where he has appeared in shows such as Of Mice and Men, Boeing Boeing, Metamorphosis and Tartuffe. He is currently starring as Oliver Parker in the Merced-based horror anthology web series The Grimoire Chapters on YouTube.

RANDI LINEE (Mrs. Potts) has been a featured soloist and performer with Modesto Performing Arts, Merced JC, Townsend Opera, Modesto JC, Stockton Opera, Merced Symphony, Merced Playhouse, Stockton Civic, Sierra Rep, Missouri Street Theatre and Donald Pippin’s Pocket Opera in San Francisco. Ms. Linee has performed throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Luxembourg, Pennsylvania, New York, Utah and California. Ms. Linee teaches Music & Performing Arts at University Charter. She is the vocal coach for Gregori High and Modesto Christian School. She maintains a private vocal studio in Modesto, and served as the Director for Townsend Opera's youth program. Ms. Linee was the Founding General Director for both the Starmites program of Denair, and the Turlock Youth Performing Arts. She is currently serving as the SRT Jr. Program Director for 2018! Favorite past roles performed include Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd (Stockton Civic & Missouri Street Theatre), Peter in Peter Pan (Modesto Performing Arts) and Despina in Cosi fan Tutte (Townsend Opera). SHEILA TOWNSEND (Madame de la Grande Buche) is thrilled to be making her SRT debut with Disney’s Beauty and the Beast! A California native, some of her favorite roles include Rona Lisa Peretti in …Spelling Bee , Rosie in Mamma Mia!, Glinda in The Wizard of Oz , and Marta in Company. This fall, Ms. Townsend will perform her solo comedy show at various festivals with the support of the Leigh Weimers Emerging Artist Award. She earned her BM in Musical Theatre from Oklahoma City University’s Bass School of Music and teaches voice at her own Upper Floor Studio. Thank you to my amazing spouse, Neil.
GABRIEL GUTIERREZ (Chip) is nine years old and attends University Charter School in Modesto. He discovered his love for performance just this year! He has been featured as The Ringleader in My Son Pinocchio, Jr. with Aspire STARS, a Lion in The Lion King Jr. with University Charter, and is a soloist with the UCS Chorus. He is very excited to be making his professional debut with Sierra Rep, and is looking forward to performing for many years to come. CAROLYN ELISE KELLER (Ensemble) has recently graduated from BYU with a BFA in Musical Theatre. While at BYU, she was able to tour South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the western United States with the performing group The Young Ambassadors. This summer she made her NYMF debut, playing Mallory in The Light Rail. She also performed alongside her cast mates while debuting the music at 54 Below. WILLIAM WEIDNER (Ensemble) With a background in Opera, Weidner is excited to join Sierra Rep for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. He is returning after previously appearing in the Quartet in The Music Man. Roles performed include Nardo in Mozart’s La Finta Giardiniera, Death in Gustav Holst’s Savitri, Kecal in B. Smetena’s Die Verkaufte braut, Bobinet in Offenbach’s La Vie Parisienne, and Gugliermo in Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tute.
BENJAMIN VAN DIEPEN (Musical Director) is happy to return to the SRT team for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, having previously played Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet. Most recently Ben served as Production Vocalist for Hong Kong Disney, and played Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, with the lovely Garden Theatre in Orlando.
