This Christmas, The Shakedown Shuffle turns up the amps and gives the holidays a rock ’n’ roll beat. Jingle Bell Jive! pairs favorites like “Blue Christmas” and “Run Rudolph Run” with inventive retro arrangements that imagine Buddy Holly taking on “Little Drummer Boy” or Johnny Cash putting his unmistakable stamp on “Silver Bells.”
Leading the celebration is piano-pounding frontman Jason Cohen, whose performances as Jerry Lee Lewis in the national tour of Million Dollar Quartet took him to more than 80 cities. Together with a band of powerhouse multi-instrumentalist singer-musicians, Cohen brings the sound, humor, and electrifying showmanship of early rock ’n’ roll to the music of the season.
Fast, funny, and built for a good time, Jingle Bell Jive! is a full-throttle holiday concert made for clapping, singing, and celebrating.

Jason is an actor, writer, director, musical director, and multi-instrumentalist, frequently working in more than one capacity on any given project. This production marks his 16th production in the Million Dollar Quartet world, having started by playing Jerry Lee Lewis on the national tour for a year. In 2022, his theatrical concert Great Balls of Fire played at SRT, and will be back for a two week run in July 2026. Other theatre: some three dozen productions. BFA: NYU Tisch, also trained extensively with Fiasco Theater and Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. A proud union laborer, he is a member of Actors Equity Association and an associate member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. Jason lives in Manhattan and hotel rooms across the country.
