Don’t Touch That Dial
West Coast Premiere
Written and Created by Roger Bean
Musical Arrangements and Orchestrations by Michael Borth
Directed by Roger Bean
From the creator of The Marvelous Wonderettes and Route 66, comes a wildly nostalgic musical comedy packed with classic television theme songs, retro game show mayhem, and pure channel-surfing joy.
When an ordinary night of television turns very strange, one devoted TV fan suddenly finds himself trapped inside a zany game show world where the channels change without warning and the theme songs never stop. From beloved sitcoms to unforgettable variety shows, Don’t Touch That Dial races through nearly 100 iconic TV tunes spanning the 1950s through the 1970s. But this isn’t just a trip down memory lane. In Act Two, the audience gets pulled into the fun as the theatre transforms into a live television event where everyone can play along… or simply sit back and laugh at the madness unfolding around them.
Filled with fast-paced comedy, outrageous sight gags, and the kind of shared nostalgia that turns strangers into instant friends, Don’t Touch That Dial is a feel-good celebration of the days when families gathered around one glowing screen and every great show began with a song you still know by heart.
As creator Roger Bean puts it: “I think Don’t Touch That Dial is the most fun you can have in a theater without getting arrested.”

Playing at the Historic Fallon House Theatre in Columbia State Historic Park, 11175 Washington St., Columbia, California.
